Wellbeing Courses for Children & Teens
Here you will find details of my wellbeing courses for children and wellbeing courses for teens covering mental health, happiness, resilience and learning support. Children and teenagers are very adept at being able to change their minds to create new neural pathways for success, health and happiness. The earlier they learn these skills; how to focus on positive thoughts, set goals and be curious about their learning preferences, the more empowered they can be, which means that they can grow up emotionally supported and mentally resilient, ready to face the challenges of this world. Happiness for Resilience - Children & Teens
Bombarded by social media, exam testing, and an overload of information, modern living seems to be putting our young people under increasing amounts of stress, resulting in greater anxiety and an inability to cope with life. Over generations, we have seemingly lost some of the skills that we once had to calm our nervous system and make meaningful human to human connections.
In a fun and informative way, my upcoming courses for children and teens are designed to re-connect your young person to tools, techniques and practices that promote mental health and well-being. We will discover how happiness is a skill that can be learned and what happens when you practice gratitude and kindness towards yourself and others. We will explore how the brain works using the latest from neuroscientific research, how to meet our own emotional needs, as well as practice some physical exercises to help balance the body in times of stress. What we learn are skills for life that can be practised, shared and embodied as a way of being; creating connection, resilience and happier living for your child and your family. |

How To Learn: Learning Support for Wellbeing and Resilience

This programme will focus on how the brain learns, how we process information and how we each learn differently. Unfortunately, our education system is geared towards specific types of learner and if your child doesn’t fit into that box, it can leave them feeling inadequate, stupid, unworthy and not good enough. When that happens, they begin to fear failing, they withdraw from trying or they become approval seeking, constantly looking for validation that proves they are good enough and never finding it.
This course seeks to set-up positive patterns of thinking and thought processing, that embraces each child’s individuality. Once our children learn how they learn, not how their classmate learns, it enables them to discover the joy of knowledge and learn whatever they want to learn. Students will have a new mindset and strategy for life that can empower them to learn in a way which suits them and plays to their strengths.

StudyCalm Programme by Hypno4Children
StudyCalm™ is a programme for the 10 years+ age group that helps children understand how to focus on what they want, not on what they don’t want. We know from neuroscience, that focusing on what you don’t want creates a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you hold a belief in your conscious mind that “I’m not good at exams” it means that the unconscious mind, which is 95% responsible for running our internal programmes, sets out to create that for us, like an obedient servant.
StudyCalm™ is offered as an individual coaching programme or in small group sessions (maximum 10 participants). Over the course of six sessions, students will learn the #brainhacks that support wellbeing; learning how to manage and discharge stress, re-train negative thoughts and instead welcome in calm - through mind, body, breath and creative intention. The group programme can be supplemented with individual coaching. Individual sessions can include personalised audio recordings to listen to between sessions and to maintain the habits after the course. |
Mindhack for Children
![]() Mindhack is a set of child-friendly tools, created by Hypno4Children™, that help young children to understand how their brain works; we explore how our ‘brain house’ has an ‘upstairs’ thinking part and a ‘downstairs’ emotional and protective part. When the upstairs and downstairs communicate with each other, all is well, but if we ‘flip our lid’ it can feel chaotic and upsetting. We learn how to use the tools of Mindhack to calm down and get back in tune with a happy harmonious brain. |
Whether your child is young or older, knowledge is power. As they begin to understand that they can take control of their emotional and thinking state it means they can start to self-regulate their behaviour. In NLP we presuppose that ‘people are not their behaviours’. There is therefore no ‘good behaviour’ or ‘bad behaviour’, there is just ‘behaviour’. Behaviour is always about communicating an emotional need that is not being met; once the need is met, then the behaviour can change. This may be a need for attention, or physical comfort or being listened to and heard.
This programme runs for individuals or small groups, aged 5 - 9 years. |
Mindhack for Teenagers

Whilst the principles remain the same as Mindhack for Children, this Mindhack programme from Hypno4Children™, explores the mental health toolkit, using age appropriate content and ideas adapted for the teenage age group.
Older children in their teenage years respond to a more mature approach and we often use technology metaphors to develop an understanding of how the brain can become overloaded, like having too many apps open on a phone.
This programme runs as individual coaching or for small groups, aged 10+.
